Chiara Diana
Communication and interaction designer with a degree in Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan and a postgraduate Master’s degree in I-Design - Interactive objects, spaces and services - from the Domus Academy, Chiara Diana is the Art Director of the Domus Academy. Since 2003, she has been part of the Domus Academy Research and Consulting Department (DARC), where she is responsible for communication and interaction design, handling both research for the European Union and market-oriented projects for private agencies. In January 2006 she was entrusted with the art direction of the Domus Academy.
She participated in the development of concepts, interaction design model and interfaces for MILK: MULTIMEDIA INTERACTION FOR LEARNING AND KNOWING and CARE!CREA projects. She has been part of the design team for the identification of new scenarios for personal entertainment in XP3: NOKIA EXPERICENCE CONVERGENCE project. In tight collaboration with Elena Pacenti, with a focus on service design experience, she participated in the COMUNICO DONNA project, an initiative addressing identity and visibility issues. More in the field of traditional visual design, she has been responsible of the concept and design of signage system and environmental identity, in RCSMediaGroup building, ended in 2005.
In collaboration with D.COM - the communication design department of the Polytechnic University of Milan - she designed the new face of EDIZIONI POLIDESIGN, academic publishing house. In 2004 she was invited to participate as visiting professor expert in identity and communication to LANDSLIDE GARDEN international workshop, to start up the design of a environmental museum distributed in Vajont disaster area.
Since 2005 she is Contract Professor at the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan and at Arsnova Digital Arts Academy of Siena.
