Born in 1965, this designer is the founder/Director of the Master in Interaction Design and has been in charge of the Design Department of the Domus Academy in Milan since 2007.
Since 1995 he has been a member of the research staff at DARC (Domus Academy Research Center) and has started to supervize the interaction and media design research activity since 2000.
He also works as Interaction Design consultant for Deep Blue, a consultancy firm composed of a multidisciplinary team of experts specializing in human factors, cognitive psychology, interaction design and software engineering.
His main research topics range from the introduction of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into everyday environment, to its potentiality in improving the quality of social relations, to the multisensorial aspects of new technologies, with a focus on interactive “mixed reality” environments.
Project leader and coordinator of more than 40 design workshops and projects in conjunction with international companies such as Alias, Camper, Canon, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, MNS, Nokia, Pioneer, Samsung, Tag Heuer, TDK etc.
He taught as part of the Course of New Media Theories and Techniques (1999/2000) at the Faculty of Communication Science of the University of Siena and of the Course in Industrial Design applied to Visual Communication at the Faculty of Industrial Design of the Politecnico di Milano (2001/2002).
He lectured at the Domus Academy, the Politecnico di Milano, the Royal College of Art, the University of Siena, the University Milano Bicocca, the FUKUI Prefecture in Japan, Shie Chien University in Taipei, the NTUT in Taipei, Hong Kong Polytechnic, the MIT in Boston, Bilgi University in Istanbul, Tonji University in Shanghai, Universidad Major Santiago del Chile, with a focus on interactive design, envisioning and strategic design.
